A little about us…

Let me tell you a little bit about the 'us' behind ChildCareOnly.com. The 'Fiona' would be me…I try to find and write articles of interest to anyone even remotely connected to the world of childcare i.e. providers of all shapes and sizes, parents, guardians and carers.  My goal is that our website wil be a one stop child care infofest for all the aforementioned.  Simultaneously, I run our day care here in Ireland (er…actually, my mum does most of the day to day work along with our wonderful staff) and work on our next 'How to' dvd - incidentally, if there are any topics or areas you feel should be covered by us please let us know.

The 'Steve' would be my better half who, whilst working full time as a software developer, is also the technical whizz behind our website and, well, anything vaguely technical related to what we do.  His expertise allows me to keep babbling on about all things childcare-esque.

Oh, and on top of all that we also run around after our beautiful. wild and extremely verbal 2 year old son.  So, you could say we keep busy!!  I am so glad I started our day care business as it allows me to be home with my son whilst running a business and working on developing other businesses also home based.  I can't recommend it enough. My son gets to play with his buddies in the mornings and hang with me in the afternoons.  The only downside is the temptation to wander up to the day care to watch him play instead of doing my own work!!
