Getting Parents Involved At Day Care
Now I don't mean sitting them down with lego or telling them to 'tidy up, tidy up!' - although maybe that's not such a bad idea
I'm talking about taking the amazing resource that is parents and using them to help improve our child care service. That improvement could simply entail better communication and understanding of their child or, it could stretch to active participation of the parent in the service thus introducing untold talents and resources.
Quite simply, we have a horde of people possessing a wide range of knowledge and skills presenting themselves on our doorsteps every morning. The same people have an incentive, in the form of their kids, to want to improve our day cares. Their ideas and input could provide mega juicy fodder for us poor, jaded day care operators to gnaw on for a long time to come. Read my article about roping parents in and the benefits thereof here:
